Campus – need to compile a list of computers that are still waiting for Chrome install. Sent out an email requesting this today.

Gary Burden – the bus barn had requested help with printing assets. I confiscated a printer from a laptop cart that had not be used in a long time due to the obsolescence of the laptops and dead batteries. Installed that printer in the bus barn, set up the driver and tested printing.

Roberta Brake – set up groups for Elementary and MS/HS in Google Contacts. This was a little disappointing for several reasons:

  • no way to export groups so each person has to build their own groups
  • you have to add directory members to contacts and then assign a group individually
  • there appears to be no help or tips for this procedure

Faculty – sent Google Tip of the Week for building groups in contacts

Web Site – checked the user privileges set on web site with the extra duty roster I got from Lee Ann and made changes as necessary. Also asked from confirmation on what some of the assignments were that were illegible.

Web Site – asked Gabbart Communication about adding a page count to a page on our site, but learned it would have to be through a third party and not recommended by Gabbart. We will just rely on the information we can gather from site statistics instead.

Teddy Allen – requested quotation from ProPresenters for a replacement projector

Tesa Madron – requested help with student password and keychain in lab.

Karla Davis – scanned the GearUp match form and sent to Karla.

Web Site – created a form for each school for teacher absentee request.

Samantha Adkins – requested help with a student computer that would not boot up. I told her how to reset the PMU and she said that resolved her problem. Steps to reset the PMU:

  1. Unplug all the cables from the back of the computer (Power, Network, Keyboard/Mouse, Any other cables that may be connected)
  2. Hold down the power button for 15 seconds
  3. Reconnect all the cables
  4. Turn on the Computer

Note: I will be absent tomorrow for a medical lab
